The building’s original name was the Warming Hut. Located in Indian Mountain Park at 1996 Chief Trail, it is more recently known as the Ski Lodge.
The lodge was used to supply refreshments and restrooms for skiers when Indian Mountain had a ski lift and sufficient snow for down hill skiing. When the lift was dismantled, the Warming Hut was closed.
It has since been renovated and available for rental. There is a kitchen, great room/dining room, bathroom with shower, and two bedrooms; Upstairs with two twin beds and a full size bed, and on the main floor with a full size bed. While TV reception is unavailable, the lodge does have high speed Internet and a smart DVD player. A telephone provides for local calls as well as calls using a phone card.
Provided Items: Pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups, silverware, coffee maker (regular drip), coffee filters, microwave oven, dish soap, liquid hand soap, cleaning products, paper towels, toilet paper, first aid kit, barbecue grill, vacuum cleaner, and DVD movies (there are also DVD’s for check out at the business office).
Not Provided: Linens, pillows, bath and hand towels, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, coffee, food, and propane bottle for the barbecue grill.
Rental check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m.
You must be an Indian Mountain property owner, or sponsored by an Indian Mountain property owner, to rent the Ski Lodge. If you are interested in reserving the Ski Lodge, please check for available dates first by viewing the Events Calendar. To view the Ski Lodge schedule, choose ‘Indian Mountain Lodge’ from the drop down menu in the Event Calendar’s header. The Events Calendar is read-only but updated by the Business Office when your reservation is made.
To make your reservation please call the Business Office at 719-836-9043 Wed – Sat 9am – 1pm or email indianmtn@hotmail.com.
For Indian Mountain Metropolitan District to hold your reservation, you must complete a lease agreement, then mail it together with your total rental fee and $250 deposit check (two separate checks made payable to IMMD) to IMMD, P.O. Box 25, Como, CO 80432 or drop it by the IMMD Business Office and/or the drop box in front of the front door of the Community Center. If your reservation is more than 70 days in the future, please do not date your deposit check and your rental fee check. If you do, the checks could expire before your stay. Additionally, if you are planning on multiple stays, we can keep your undated deposit check on file for those occasions.
The Lease Agreement and rental fees have changed. Please read the Lease Agreement carefully. The Indian Mountain Metro District now needs your total rental fee, security deposit ($250) and Lease Agreement at the time of your reservation to hold your reservation.
Also New!: Cancellation Policy. The Lodge is a community asset. Because of last minute cancellations, the Lodge sat empty for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s for two years in a row! When folks make reservations and then cancel within two to three weeks before the reservation, it essentially blocks other Indian Mountain property owners from enjoying the Lodge. Because of that, the new cancellation policy states that if you cancel within 30 days of the reservation, you forfeit your total rental fee. This policy may be waived at the discretion of Indian Mountain, only for serious extenuating circumstances, such as illness or severe weather, etc.
